Dress Code
The Governing Board of the Mesa School District has adopted an explicit and specific dress code. The following Franklin dress code is in addition to the Mesa School District dress code:
Parents are to teach children that Benjamin Franklin students dress in a neat, attractive fashion reflecting pride in themselves and in their school. The dress code is established to help ensure an atmosphere conducive to study. Pride in student dress and personal appearance is one of the observable differences at Benjamin Franklin School. It is both the parents' and the child's responsibility to ensure compliance with the dress code. Personal appearance is expected to be non-disruptive to the learning atmosphere.
Students in violation of the dress code will be sent to the office to change into appropriate clothing. In some cases, parents may have to bring clothing from home for students. Students may not return to the classroom until appropriate dress has been obtained.
The principal will resolve dress code concerns.
