Elementary early dismissal at 12:45 all week Feb. 26- Mar 1.
Next week is Parent-Teacher Conference Week. We will also have our Scholastic Book Fair Mon-Thurs and Grandparents Lunch on Tues (last names A-L) and Thurs (last names M-Z).
Arts & Academic entries are due by the end of the school day on Thursday, January 18. We look forward to seeing the creative arts and writing of our talented students!
Tonight is the Winter Sing for 1st-3rd graders in our school auditorium. Tomorrow, Tuesday 12/12, our 4th-6th graders will have their Winter Sing. We look forward to hearing all of our students perform.
Tomorrow is "USA Day" for our FAAB Student Council-sponsored Spirit Day. Let's see your patriotic shirts and lots of red, white and blue!
We look forward to seeing our families for Firebird Movie Night this Friday evening!

We will have 12:45 dismissal Fri, 9/15 to mark the end of the 1st grading period.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held 9/18-22 with 12:45 dismissal each day.
During P-T Conferences, our Scholastic book fair will be open M-Th 7:50-8:15am, and after school M, T, Th 1:30-4:30pm. Wednesday afternoon the book fair will be open 12:30-4:30.

Our last book fair of the year is next week! On Tuesday, May 2nd, we will be hosting a BOGO Scholastic Book Fair after school. The book fair will be open from 2:45 pm-7:30pm. This will take place on the same day as the Spring Sing for grades 1-3. Don't miss your chance for a great deal!
Our Firebird Festival is Saturday! Don't forget that today is the final day for online presales. If you do not want to place an online order, you may purchase tickets and wristbands at the festival at an increased price. **NO orders will be taken in the school office.**

We had a great time having lunch with our Grandparents this week! Thanks to all for joining us on Tuesday for the beautiful weather, and thanks to those who attended today, even with the chillier temperatures! See you next year!
Don't forget -- next week, we are hosting two days of our Grandparents Day Luncheons! To better accommodate our grandparents, we have scheduled two days split by students' last names:
Tuesday, February 28th: Last names A-K are invited to attend
Thursday, March 2nd: Last names L-Z are invited to attend
Please check your emails for reminders about scheduled lunch times.
After their lunchtime, students head to recess for 15 minutes before their class resumes. If you decide to visit the book fair when you are finished eating, the students need to be lining up with their class by the end of their recess time.

The Franklin at Brimhall Firebird Festival is coming up on 3/25, and Love the Llama is BACK! Starting next Monday, students can bring their coins from home to the office and select the teacher they want to see kiss the llama!
Our Student Council and Firebird Choir led a great Presidents Day Assembly today! Students K-6 enjoyed music, fun facts, and a trivia game to celebrate this special day. Our students were amazing audience members -- we are so proud that our 700+ Firebirds can all be respectful and engaged during these special activities. FAB students are the best!
Don't forget -- tomorrow, Friday, February 17th, Franklin at Brimhall will release at 12:45 pm to mark the end of the 4th grading period. Please have arrangements for your children to be picked up at this time.
Please note, Franklin Junior High students do not have early release and will dismiss at their regular time tomorrow.
We are looking forward to our Valentine's Class Parties this afternoon! Please remember that food provided must be store bought. If you plan on helping or attending the class parties, please make other arrangements for younger siblings as they are not quite yet students at our school.
